New Punta Mita Property Management Service

Many of my friends and a number of local property owners ask me to manage their properties.  I take this as a compliment, but my expertise lies in the “hospitality” side of the luxury rental business. I believe we all have different strengths.  Mine is helping my clients find the perfect home, chef, activity etc. and helping my owners find the perfect clients.

Therefore, I decided to associate Punta Mita Rentals with my old friend and trusted property manager, Luis Avila.

Luis was at The Four Seasons Hotel when it first opened in 2000 and has been in Punta Mita ever since. In the early days, back when nobody knew about our little corner of paradise, Luis was putting his tourism degree to the test as the chief concierge for the first four luxury homes in the Four Seasons Villas complex. I know Lisa put him through his paces, and apparently he came out with shining colours as he was then asked to co-ordinate the Porta Fortuna project. After the completion of the project, he acted as development manager and then formed his own property management company.

Luis has stayed “behind the gates” of Punta Mita. He is currently is managing some twenty luxury properties in Ranchos, la Punta Estates, Four Seasons Villas, Signature Estates, Porta Fortuna and El Encanto.

His laid-back calm and gentle demeanour belie the fact that he is always on the ball and running a very tight ship, indeed. He is a great believer in preventative maintenance and strives to help his owners take excellent care of their assets and maintain smooth working order at all times. He has a wonderful crew of tried and trusted service people who deliver a top-class product at affordable prices.

His agency works hand-in-glove with mine. He administers several of my rental homes and I work hard to keep his butlers and chefs busy and his owners, many of whom are my friends, happy.

I handle the marketing and sales and Luis takes care of maintenance, inspections, hiring, firing, accounting and household budgeting. Together, we make a winning team.

This charitable organisation, which he has helped establish, will take 52 boys from places as far flung as Tepic, Morelia and Guadalajara to the next level.

Miguel lives in Punta Mita with his youngest son, his fiancée, Lisa, and his two dogs “Tanqueray” and “Tonica”.
